Clubs

Van Avery Prep offers a wide variety of extra-curricular clubs and activities to enrich the school experience and to meet the talents and interests of our students.  All students are encouraged to participate.  Teachers/coaches direct these sessions to ensure that the students are given an opportunity to develop their skills, nurture their talents, learn to work together as a team, and grow in social confidence. VAP boasts an array of over twenty clubs that feed our student’s passions and gives our learners additional opportunities to learn more about subjects they are interested in.

The clubs conveniently meet on our campus and are led by VAP teachers and staff. Parent volunteers lead the Boy Scouts and Girls Scouts. Parent volunteers also coach our K-5 flag football teams.

Some of the clubs offered include:

  • Young Lego Engineers
  •  Animal Adventures /Zoology
  • Chess
  • Book Club
  • Kind Campaign
  • Science
  • Cooking Club
  • Cheer
  • American Girl Club
  • STEM Club

If an interest is not represented, students may start a club of their own with sufficient student interests and a faculty advisor. Clubs and organizations meet regularly during and after school. We encourage students to participate in clubs as they develop leadership skills and encourage students to collaborate and share ideas.
